MISSION STATEMENT: Providing highest quality hand dyed cost-effective silk, to encourage stitchers to create heirloom quality products.
I use only the highest lightfast and colorfast rated dyes in the industry. All the dyes I use have a lightfast rating of 6 - 8, meaning that the colors used will remain unchanged for 50 to more than 100 years of light exposure with proper mounting and display. These dyes are rated "Suitable for artistic use" by both the International Standard ISO 105-B and by the ASTM D5398. These same dyes have a acid dye washfast test rating of 4 - 5 (on a scale of 1 - 5) meaning that these dyes are extremely resistant to washing out of the fiber when affixed. I'm out of town from Monday June 30 till Thursday July 3rd. July 4th is an American post office holiday, so shipping will resume on Monday July 7th.
